Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of UnitySelection ("we", "us"), an independent personal-shopping service. By submitting an order, you accept these Terms. This is a sample template — have a licensed attorney review before going live.

1. The service

We act as your personal agent to purchase consumer goods on your behalf from third-party retailers. We are not a retailer ourselves, do not own inventory, and do not warrant the goods. Goods are sold and warranted by the retailer.

2. No retailer affiliation

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or licensed by The Home Depot®, Lowe's®, Ace Hardware®, Menards®, or any other retailer. References to retailers are descriptive only. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

3. Service fee

Our fee is a flat 10% of the product subtotal, with a $5 minimum. The fee is shown on every quote before you accept. The retailer's price, tax, and shipping are passed through at cost.

4. Gift card use

• You authorize us to redeem the gift card you provide solely for the order you approved.
• You represent that the card is yours and was lawfully obtained.
• We may decline orders, request additional verification, or terminate the engagement if anything appears irregular.
• Card numbers and PINs are deleted after fulfillment.

5. Quotes & changes

Quotes are valid for 24 hours. Retailer prices, availability, and shipping times can change without notice; if a material change occurs after you accept, we'll re-quote and you may cancel without penalty.

6. Cancellations & refunds

• You may cancel any time before the retailer order is placed for a full refund.
• If we cannot fulfill (out of stock, retailer rejection, etc.) you receive a full refund of any out-of-pocket payment, including the service fee.
• After the retailer order is placed, refunds and returns follow the retailer's policy. We facilitate returns at no extra charge.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use the service to launder funds, redeem stolen or fraudulently obtained gift cards, evade taxes, or violate any law. We cooperate with law enforcement when required.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the service fee paid for the order in question. We are not liable for retailer-side issues (defective goods, shipping carrier delays, manufacturer warranty disputes, etc.) — those are addressed under the retailer's policies.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be noted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
